Click on the Recyclability tab for data entry for provincial and territorial recycling declarations for the product.
Provincial and Territorial Recyclability
When creating a product, users can enter Plastics Recyclability Information for the product. Users can select one or more provinces and/or territories where the product is being sold and select the recyclability status (Recyclable, Non-Recyclable, Collected) for each province and/or territory.
Product Recyclability
When creating a product, users can enter the Recyclability Information for the product. Users can indicate whether the product is a plastic product or plastic packaging, the packaging type (primary, secondary, or tertiary) and enter the recycled content percentage of the product.
The packaging type and product’s recyclability information is displayed on the product overview screen after product creation. Under the Sustainability Highlights section, the recycled content percentage of the product is shown. Once the user has their location set to a province or territory where the product is being sold, he/she will be able to see the recyclability information for the product in that province or territory.
As per Canada’s labeling requirements, the English and French short names for the product and its plastic components, the recyclability status (Recyclable, Non-Recyclable, Collected) and its corresponding icon will be shown for that particular product for a particular province or territory.
